On the recruiting side, J.C. experienced the process firsthand—signing early with Felician University (NCAA Division II) before choosing the junior college route. At Brookdale Community College (Lincroft, NJ), he broke out as a hitter, batting .429 and ranking among the NJCAA national top performers as a freshman. He also spent time at Palm Beach State College and drew interest from the University of Texas-Pan American before ultimately pivoting toward a successful career in South Florida real estate.
