By court ruling through an injuction. A D1 football player that played at the JUCO level prior to competing at the NCAA level will NOT have his JUCO playing time count against his four years of NCAA playing eligibility. Thus granting HIM and HIM only an additional year of playing eligibility. Time and the courts will tell if ALL JUCO athletes that play college sports will retain all 4 years of NCAA eligibility, regardless if they played 1-2 years of JUCO or non-NCAA sports. There are many working parts that still need to be figured out, and ultimately the courts will determine what will and will not count against NCAA years of playing eligibility. STAY TUNED!!
