Softball is typically awarded as an equivalency sport, meaning scholarships are often split across the roster. Always confirm details with the school and official governing body rules.
NCAA Division I
- Scholarships: 12 (equivalency)
- Typical reality: partial scholarships are common
NCAA Division II
- Scholarships: 7.2 (equivalency)
- Typical reality: split across multiple athletes
NCAA Division III
- Scholarships: 0 athletic scholarships
- Financial aid: academic + need-based aid can apply
NAIA
- Scholarships (fully funded max): 10 equivalencies

NJCAA Division I
