The Darrah Family Testimonial

When our son decided to continue playing baseball in college, my wife and I started trying to figure out which tournaments/showcases to attend, how to get seen by colleges, which college would be the best fit, and all the dos and don’ts during the recruiting process. We had many beliefs coming into the process based on how things worked 30+ years ago. Needless to say, things were different at every turn and we were overwhelmed until a friend recommended Mike Silvestri with Florida Diamond Recruiting.

Mike flew to New Orleans to personally evaluate our son’s baseball skills, IQ and potential. He took the time to get to know us and our son. After the evaluation, he met with all of us to discuss our son’s current status, his projectability, and what level of play was realistically attainable in college. We appreciated his honesty and his willingness to communicate directly with our son and to guide him through the process. Mike recommended tournaments/showcases that would have the scouts/coaches for the schools that needed to fill spots for his position. Mike was only a phone call away for our son to get advice when it was time to communicate with coaches and scouts. As a result of Mike’s expertise and our son’s hard work, multiple calls from colleges came in on August 1 of his Junior year. Once again, we had more questions than answers. Mike was there for us and our son every step of the way and his original evaluation of our son’s ability and projectability was spot on.

Our son values Mike’s opinion because he is able to speak from the perspective of a player, coach, and scout at various levels. Sharing his knowledge in knowing which colleges were looking for a player with our son’s skill set helped our son find a great program to reach his full potential. Our son accepted a scholarship to play baseball for Arizona State University, and we could not be more proud and excited for what the future holds.

Mike has gone above and beyond for our son and family. We highly recommend Mike Silvestri and Florida Diamond Recruiting.
